Taylor Swift’s Dad Scott Swift Allegedly Involved in Physical Altercation in Australia

A new report is revealing that Scott Swift will not face legal ramifications for his alleged physical altercation with a paparazzo in Australia.

New South Wales Police Force confirmed to TMZ that “officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command have conducted an investigation following a report of an assault at Neutral Bay Wharf about 2:30 AM on Tuesday 27 February 2024.” TMZ further reports that the investigation did not find enough evidence to pursue any further legal action.

The paparazzo who claimed he was physically assaulted by Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, has since spoken out as well.

According to TMZ, the photog, identified as Ben McDonald says he’s willing to forgive and forget the whole situation on one condition; he wants Scott to issue a publicly apology.

Ben went on to say that the statement released by Taylor’s team, alleging it was the paparazzi who were the aggressors, isn’t entirely true. Ben claims he was “just doing his job” after figuring out Taylor’s location when Scott and Taylor’s security guards got physical with him.

But this isn’t the first celebrity to have issues with Ben. As several reports have revealed, Australian native Nicole Kidman once had a restraining order out on Ben.

According to People, police revealed that they are investigating an “alleged assault after a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf.” Authorities did not confirm the identities of the 71-year-old or the 51-year-old.

Now, Swift’s team is speaking out, saying that the altercation occurred after people got too aggressive. “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water,” the rep told People in a statement.

This isn’t the first altercation between a member of the Australia media and a Hollywood powerhouse.
