Taylor Swift Yells at Security Guard, Who Was Harassing a Group of Fans, Mid-Song During Philadelphia Leg of ‘Eras Tour’

Taylor Swift is no stranger to going viral on social media and has already done so on numerous occasions since the start of The Eras Tour on March 17. It’s her first tour in several years and is reportedly between 2-3 hours long, so it’s no surprise to see the tour receiving a large amount of press and media attention.

Her most recent leg of the tour was at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, where she performed three days in a row between May 12-14. It was on Saturday (May 13) that she went viral for an interaction she had with a security guard in the middle of her ‘Bad Blood’ performance – proving that her fans come first.

She was singing the ‘Bad Blood’ chorus when she saw a security guard being aggressive and rude with a group of fans, who were singing and dancing near the stage. The fans were behind the fence and weren’t doing anything wrong, so Taylor stood up for them and asked the security guard to leave them alone.

A video posted by a fan showed the 33-year-old singer telling the security guard ‘she’s fine’ (referring to the fan) and ‘she wasn’t doing anything.’ The security guard must’ve continued because Swift came back and yelled, “Hey stop. He wasn’t doing anything. HEY! STOP!” before continuing on with the chorus.

In the hours after the clip went viral, several fans attempted to fill everyone in on what happened. One witness claimed the security guards ‘kept putting their hands on us to physically push us off of the barricade instead of just telling us to move’ – adding that security was acting ‘extremely aggressive.’

The following morning, a woman on TikTok – who was later identified as Kelly Inglis from Baltimore, Maryland – claimed to be the woman who Taylor Swift was defending. She confirmed the security guard was ‘harassing’ her group and wasn’t allowing them to have fun – even though they weren’t doing wrong.

“Taylor noticed that I was having fun and that he didn’t like it, and she didn’t like it, and he basically got escorted out and then they offered us free tickets for tonight. It wasn’t this big crazy thing, it was just a bunch of girls having a good time and he didn’t want us to have fun,” Inglis said in the TikTok video.

Kelly Inglis Thanks Taylor Swift for Defending Her

In a separate TikTok video, Kelly Inglis shared her appreciation for Taylor Swift – who didn’t have to call the security guard out, but did. She added that she has been a fan of the singer since she was 17 years old and confirmed that she had been to 13 of her shows in the past – in other words, she’s a superfan.

“The fact that you did that for me last night, and you stood up for me, meant so, so, so, so much and like, I can’t even explain, like, you did that for me, and for your fans, and if there’s anything I know about you, you just want your fans to go to the show and have fun, and that’s all we were doing,” Inglis continued.

Kelly can now say she has been to 14 shows since her and her friends got free tickets to the show on Sunday. The group had to travel back to Philly from Baltimore, but it was worth it – considering how tough it is to get tickets, let alone getting to see The Eras Tour twice in back-to-back days. Now, that’s epic!
