UPDATE: In a rare turn of events, Taylor Swift’s legendary public relations person, Tree Payne, is responding to insidious rumors regarding her past relationship with ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
Earlier yesterday, a website known as Deuxmoi, a popular gossip column, claimed Taylor and Joe had a secret marriage-like ceremony during their relationship. On their Instagram Story, Deuxmoi doubled down on those claims, writing, “She DID have a ceremony in either 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described to me as a ‘marriage’ by than one person. It was NEVER made legal.”
“I will die on this hill,” the website continued. “Put it on my tombstone! I have no reason to lie, I could give a sh*t what she does! I’m sorry she didn’t tell you guys about it in a song but just because she doesn’t sing about something doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!”
Hours later, Taylor’s publicist Tree Payne took to Instagram to respond. “Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”
It’s unclear what move Taylor and her team will make next. Though, despite the clear anger coming from Taylor’s team, Deuxmoi responded again. “Well I make zero dollars from lying… can publicists say the same? Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to ‘pain and trauma’ after what just happened seems like a poor choice of words. Either way, I apologize to Taylor.”

Late Saturday night, April 8, a source allegedly confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Swift and Alwyn have decided to go their separate ways. The reason for the alleged breakup is unclear.
However, despite their reported decision to end their relationship, the source continued to tell ET that the breakup is “amicable and not dramatic.” “It was not dramatic,” the source told ET, adding that “the relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.”
Now, fans are connecting a recent video of Swift at one of her concerts to the news of their alleged breakup.
As it is well known, Taylor is on her “Eras” stadium tour right now. There is a video of her behind her piano on stage singing her song Champagne Problems that is now going viral.

Champagne Problems is arguably one of her saddest songs to date and while she was performing it during own of her latest shows, Swift got visibly choked up mid-song. However, despite tearing up, the singer-songwriter managed to continue on with the song.
Neither Swift nor Alwyn has confirmed the news and there are some fans who are still holding on to hope that they are still together. Many of those fans say they won’t believe the reports of their breakup until they hear it from Swift herself or Alwyn himself.

As a result, a video of Swift talking about her relationship to Alwyn and the rumors they have had to live through is also going viral again. Both Swift and Alwyn have been notoriously quiet when it comes to their relationship.
It remains unclear if they will ever confirm their alleged break up.
