Six months ago, a 15-year-old from Staten Island went missing. Then on April 15, the teenager appeared at a local police precinct.
After getting the attention of police officers, she told her story. She was abducted by sex traffickers who had drugged and raped her. In an interview with PIX11, the 15-year-old’s mother is now sharing her daughter’s terrifying experience. “She was being held with two other girls,” the mother said.
Mom Who Searched for Teen Daughter for 6 Months Shares Her Miraculous Escape Story
The teenager was 14 when she disappeared on October 13, 2021. Her mom admits her daughter’s father drove throughout the five boroughs, even entering New Jersey and Pennsylvania, searching for their little girl.
The mom admits her daughter had disappeared for brief periods before. But this was different. The teen’s father believes his daughter “met some bad people while playing games on a popular basketball app.”
However, for six months, the tireless searches yielded no results. Now, the parents have learned that their daughter was first held captive in Brooklyn before she was sold to someone else.
“They were holding her first in Brooklyn,” the mom said, before adding that she doesn’t know exactly where her daughter was taken, but she said, “The only thing I know is that it was in New Jersey.”
Months later, as the teen was in the car traveling from New Jersey to Staten Island, the men in the car threw her from the vehicle “and threatened her.” The teen celebrated her 15th birthday this week.
The teen told her mom that she was held separately from the other two girls. “She said they had them in separate rooms and had the doors locked.” The teen didn’t know the other two victims.
While they were held captive, men would “come in and out.” When she was thrown from the car, the girl started to run. She asked a woman to help her find the nearest precinct, telling her, “I’ve been kidnapped and raped and these people are trying to hurt me.”
The mom said her daughter is currently, “at the hospital on Staten Island. She lost a lot of weight. I can tell on her face that she got scars where they dragged her and did stuff to her.”
