Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren had their first son, whom they named Romeo Reign on May 26th! The couple announced the birth in Instagram posts on each of their accounts.

The post on Romeo’s account reveals that he was born at “6lbs 8oz” and “19 inches”. The family will also soon be releasing merch for baby sitch, so check in on his Instagram for when that drops!

While the couple was in the delivery room, Entertainment Tonight caught up with The Situation’s costars on Jersey Shore.

Jenni “Jwoww” Farley, Deena Cortese, and Vinny Guadagnino all weighed in on The Situation becoming a dad, but Jwoww chimed in first. “I’m so excited for them!” While Deena then quickly exclaimed, “Oh my god, they are going to be the most amazing parents.”

Vinny added that “We are still waiting in anticipation. I know it’s very close and I’m just wishing them health. We are all a little nervous right now, but I’m just wishing them the best.”

He also told ET that he plans to “live vicariously” through The Situation and the rest of his friends who have kids, as “I’m a good uncle. It’s fun to hold their babies, and then when they start crying, I give the babies back.”

The couple had suffered through a miscarriage at the end of 2019. “We’re doing OK. [Mike] leads our family by example,” Lauren said to ET at the time. “With going through our past tragedies and trying to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off. I looked at him lost when this happened, like, ‘I don’t know what to do, I don’t know how to recover from this.’ And he just kept doing the next right thing.”

She continued, “You get ready for the day. You’re just one day at a time, and we’re almost a month later, and I’m doing a lot better. We’re still trying [to have kids]. We’re going to keep trying. We can’t wait until that happens, and we’re very excited to start that chapter, and we’re moving forward.”

Congratulations to the new parents on the arrival of their new bundle of joy!
