The ‘Total Bella’ Husbands Had a Heart-to-Heart about the Birds and the Bees (Yes, You Read That Correctly)

Nikki and Brie Bella are usually the ones dishing on life, love and pregnancy, but on a recent episode of Total Bellas, their husbands were the ones who covered all the hot topics – including a candid conversation about pregnancy sex.

The current season of the reality TV show follows the Bella sisters throughout their simultaneous pregnancies. They duo both welcomed sons on July 31 and August 1, respectively.

The brother-in-laws dished about life during pregnancy and whether or not it was safe to have sex with their wives while they were carrying the babies.

“This is mildly uncomfortable for me to talk about,” says Bryan, “but Brie asked me to talk to you about it because Nicole talked to her about it … about you being uncomfortable having sex with her right now.”

“It’s weird,” Chigvintsev responded. “I mean, there’s a whole baby inside there, you know what I mean?”

Bryan, who also has 3-year-old Birdie Joe, revealed that he had the same fear when his wife was pregnant the first time. He admitted to asking a doctor about it and was told that he couldn’t hurt the baby.

“It’s the mental thing,” Chigvintsev responded. “You think, ‘There’s a whole human inside.’ ”

Nikki and Chigvintsev got through their first pregnancy, welcoming their son Matteo on July 31. Bryan and Brie welcomed their second child, Buddy Dessert, just a day later.

Now that they’ve had the baby, Chigvintsev and Nikki are facing another hurdle after Nikki admitted she “hated” her fiance as a result of post-partum depression.

“I’ve always prided myself that I can fight a lot of things mentally. I’m very strong in that way,” Nikki told Bella on an episode of The Bellas podcast. “Postpartum has knocked me on my ass. This is something that is way different.”

“I was starting to feel invisible,” she continued. “It just started to build up. Being alone with Matteo and just feeling lonely and not loved and invisible.”

Thankfully, Nikki has come out of other side of her depression and is enjoying life at home with her little one and finance.
