The Queen of Rock and Roll and iconic singer Tina Turner has reportedly passed away.

The legendary singer was reportedly battling an illness for a long time prior to her passing, her team revealed. Although the specifics of her illness were not immediately disclosed.

Tina Turner was 83 years old. Her team announced her death just minutes ago on Instagram.

With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.

As several reports revealed, over the last several years the singer had been open about some of her health battles including battling cancer in 2016 and having a kidney transplant a year later in 2017.

Prior to embodying her stage name, Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939. She began singing in her town’s church choir and was open about her job picking cotton while growing up in Nutbush, Tennessee.

Turner’s death comes just 5 months after her beloved son, Ronnie passed away unexpectedly in 2022.

New information about what caused Ronnie Turner’s passing has been revealed. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Turner, who is the beloved son of legendary singer Tina Turner, passed away suddenly earlier this month.

Now his cause of death has been revealed. According to the Los Angeles County Medical-Examiner Coroner, Ronnie died of complications of metastatic colon cancer. He was also battling atherosclerosis heart disease, which is a thickening or hardening of the arteries.

It appears as though Ronnie may have been outside his California home when he died. According to his autopsy his place of death was labeled as “sidewalk,” People reports.

The CDC reports that colorectal is the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. As Mamas Uncut reported just a few days after Ronnie’s passing, actress Kirstie Alley also passed away following a battle with colon cancer.

The hearts of the world are breaking for legendary singer Tina Turner after devastating news was revealed on December 9.

According to reports, Tina’s son, Ronnie Turner, has passed away. He was 62 years old.

Turner is not only survived by his legendary mom but also by his wife, French singer Afida Turner, who confirmed her husband’s sudden passing on Instagram. Alongside a photo of Tina, Ronnie, and herself, Afida wrote, “My God Ronnie Turner a true angel huge soul highly spiritual my husband, my best friend, my baby, your mummy, your nurse.”

“I did the best to the end,” Afida continued. “This time I was not able to save you. Love you for…17 years. This is very very very bad. I am very mad. This is a tragedy.”

Afida took comfort in knowing her husband was now with his brother Craig and father Ike and resting in paradise. “So unfair,” she concluded her statement.

According to TMZ, 911 dispatchers were called from Turner’s address around 9:40 a.m. earlier this week. The caller told the dispatcher that Ronnie was having trouble breathing and eventually stopped breathing altogether. 

Someone with Ronnie at the time started CPR but he was pronounced dead at the scene once paramedics arrived. His cause of death is not immediately known.

Ronnie was an accomplished musician like both of his parents and his wife. Just moments ago, Tina took to Instagram as well to share a brief statement following the death of her son.

“Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son,” She wrote.
