Tristan Thompson is under scrutiny once again for showing off his impressive lifestyle on Instagram amid claims that he has provided zero “financial assistance” to his youngest son.
The mother of Tristan’s baby boy, Maralee Nichols, claimed earlier this week how he has “done nothing” to support their child and hasn’t even attempted to meet him despite publicly promising to be involved in the parenting process.
“Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support his son,” claimed Maralee’s representative, Harvey Englander, on Feb. 14.
“He has not made any attempt to meet their son nor has he provided any financial assistance,” Englander said of Tristan, who has two other children: 5-year-old Prince with ex Jordan Craig, and 3-year-old True with ex Khloé Kardashian.
And while much of social media has consistently criticized Thompson, the hate doesn’t seem like it will stop anytime soon.
This past Thursday, Tristan shared a heartfelt tribute to his former basketball team, the Indiana Pacers, amid news that he’s signed to join the Chicago Bulls.
One of the photos showcased Tristan on a private jet alongside his friends.
Many were quick to comment how Tristan was being “irresponsible” for his alleged lack of involvement in the young boy’s life while urging him to “pay child support.”
In addition, many commenters were skeptical of favoritism between him and his daughter True, as Tristan regularly shares public posts over his love for True.
He often refers to his daughter as “Daddy’s Twin” and has documented himself spending quality time on numerous occasions. Meanwhile, his son Prince, appears much less frequently.

On the very same day that Tristan shared the photo in the private jet, he shared a video to his Instagram story that showed him and True at a restaurant together.
“My favorite type of date nights,” he captioned the short clip, where he looks to be smothering True with kisses at the dinner table.
Back in December, Maralee gave birth to their son and filed lawsuits against Tristan — who initially denied her claim that he was the father — for child support and pregnancy-related expenses.
And on Jan. 3, Tristan shared a statement to Instagram upon discovering that he was the father of Maralee’s boy after a messy court battle around his paternity.
