After being held in contempt of court over failing to hand over various documents after a subpoena was issued by the state’s attorney general as part of a civil investigation into his business dealings, former President Donald J. Trump is worried about other things, it seems.
In a ruling made by Judge Arthur Engoron, he said, “Mr. Trump, I know you take your business seriously, and I take mine seriously,” Engoron told a Manhattan courtroom. “I hereby hold you in civil contempt and fine you $10,000 a day.”
In order to avoid paying the substantial daily fine, Trump will have to meet the terms of the subpoena. Doesn’t his failure to comply, his attorney Alina Habba reiterated in court that “Donald Trump does not believe he is above the law.”

And while Trump himself has yet to comment on the judge’s ruling to put him in contempt, Trump did find time to comment on his future on Twitter. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Elon Musk purchases Twitter today for $44 billion.
Musk’s main reason for buying the platform is to better “support” the freedom of speech. And as it is known, Trump was banned from Twitter shortly before the end of his presidency for inciting violence.
“After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence,” Twitter said.
“In the context of horrific events this week, we made it clear on Wednesday that additional violations of the Twitter Rules would potentially result in this very course of action.”
Judge Finds Trump in Contempt, But All the Former President Is Worried About Is His Twitter
Now that Musk has purchased Twitter, the question of whether or not Musk would reinstate Trump’s account floated around the internet. And Trump himself issued a statement about his future on the platform to Fox News.
“I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH,” Trump told Fox News. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.”
TRUTH Social “is America’s ‘Big Tent’ social media platform that encourages an open, free, and honest global conversation without discriminating against political ideology. Trump says he will begin “TRUTHing” within the week.
TRUTH is the Trump Media & Technology Group social media platform that launched last month. Former Republican Representative Devin Nunes of California is the company’s CEO, Fox News reports.
“We’re taking in millions of people, and what we’re finding is that the response on TRUTH is much better than being on Twitter,” Trump added. “Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we are doing everything we can. The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter.”
