Twin Baby Boys Discovered In Bags Behind Apartment, Police Still Searching For Parents

A New York City building superintendent made the horrific discovery of two deceased infants just outside a high-rise building last week.

Police sources reveal the infant boys were less than 24 hours old when they were discovered last Monday afternoon, about 20 feet apart near the six-story College Avenue building in Claremont.

One of the newborns was found partially covered in a pet training pad in janitorial area on the side of the building. The infant had head trauma along with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck.

The other infant was found 20 feet away, bound in a black plastic bag with no visible injuries, in the back of the building. The superintendent of the building found the infants before police were called at around 1:45 p.m.

The man, who would identify himself as only as Johnny, revealed to The Post how he came outside around 8 a.m. and believed he saw a doll on the ground.

“I didn’t pay it any mind, because I thought it was a toy doll,” he said, revealing that he went on with his day.

And when he came back in the afternoon to tend to the garbage, Johnny said he “realized it wasn’t a toy” but a baby boy.

“The baby was partially wrapped from the waist up in blue plastic, you know the kind you keep in the house for animals,” Johnny said, revealing how he touched the infant and found blood underneath.

“The blue thing [training pad] was wet. I turned it a little,” he said. “There was a little blood, but it did not soak through.”

Johnny then quickly called his work partner, who then called 911.

Just after finding the first unresponsive newborn, Johnny discovered the second one wrapped in a black garbage bag, nothing how blood had also leaked out of the bag.

“It’s unspeakable. I can’t believe somebody would do that,” said Johnny, who is a father of three. “The memory is going to stay with me for the rest of my life. A baby? I can understand you try to kill a person, but a baby? An innocent baby? No, no, no.”

Emergency responders quickly transported the babies to Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, where the infants were pronounced dead at 2 p.m.

Police still did not have any information on who the children’s parents were.
