Meet the Baby ‘Born in 2020’ Who Thinks Everything Is Hand Sanitizer in Viral Video

Well, everything is bad. But, at least we know the children will have clean hands. In a now-viral video posted to Reddit, a baby attempts to extract hand sanitizer from just about every inanimate object she can find. The poster claims the baby was “born in 2020” and as a result, a weird habit has developed.

As any parent knows, babies are great mimickers who copy everything we do. So, if they see you doing an exercise like yoga, they will inevitably attempt a downward dog pose and will most likely fail, but it’s cute! As with everything else, one particular baby has been trained in the art of hand sanitation and she can’t stop in the video you have to see below!

A baby who has only known pandemic life is captured on video attempting to extract hand sanitizer from electrical sockets, garden features, and much more!

If you have ever watched a 10-month-old baby unlock an iPhone, you know how quick the little ones catch on to the things we do every day. One parent has discovered that their child has been surprisingly attentive to hand hygiene and she tries to get hand sanitizer to squirt from all manner of object.

Hand sanitizing stations and the practice of keeping hands clean to avoid illness is a hallmark of these trying times. But, this baby might just be the cutest hand-cleaner in the whole entire world!

Commentators note that the claim that the baby was born in 2020 is likely false, but it does help add to the narrative. “One hell of a growth spurt if she was born within 13 months,” one person noted.

Another person agreed writing, “That baby definitely wasn’t born in 2020.”

The exact age of the child is of little importance to us as we can see that the child is clearly just barely a toddler and that she has picked up the habit of sanitizing her hands at a very early age.

While this is funny it is also slightly heartbreaking that she is growing up in this reality. Now, most of us practiced good hygiene before COVID-19, but we think it is safe to say that those efforts have certainly doubled over the last year.
