The kids have spoken!
In the Scholastic’s 2020 Student Vote, Nickelodeon’s 2020 Kids Pick the President Kids’ Vote, Kids Voting USA’s Kids Voting Presidential Election, as well the KidsPost’s mock presidential election hosted by The Washington Post, kids want the Democratic candidate Joe Biden in office as our president.
And lucky for them, they are getting just that.
Over 168,000 kids ranging from kindergarten age to seniors in high school cast online ballots in Scholastic’s long-running Student Vote.
Biden garnered 103,060 votes, or 61% of the vote, compared to the 64,948 votes, or 39%, President Donald Trump won. Biden seemed to draw voters in Grade 3, Grade 10, and Grade 11.
And according to Scholastic, results of the Student Vote have mirrored the results of the actual presidential election in all but three elections.

Back in 1948, kids elected Thomas E. Dewey while Harry S. Truman won the actual presidency. While in 1960, kids elected Richard M. Nixon when John F. Kennedy won the actual election. And in 2016, kids favored Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump.
Almost 90,000 kid voters participated in Nickelodeon’s 2020 Kids Pick the President Kids’ Vote by casting virtual ballots from Oct. 20 to Oct. 26.
After filtering out over 130,000 bot-generated votes organized by 4chan users looking to dismantle the poll, Nickelodeon discovered Biden had received 53% of the vote, compared to Trump’s 47%. Kids have correctly chosen the president six out of eight times in Nickelodeon’s Kids Vote mock election since its launch in 1988.
With a total of 1,982 children ranging from ages 7 to 14 and all from across the nation cast votes in The Post’s KidsPost’s mock presidential election from Oct. 14 to Oct. 28.
When tallied, Biden won with a huge margin having garnered 1,467 votes, or 74% of the vote; while Trump garnered 452 votes, totaling 22.8%.
Lucky for the kids, Biden holds the winning ticket!
