On Oct. 25, former “Home Improvement” star Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested in Custer County, Oklahoma.
According to Fox News, the former actor was “arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence for a second felony offense and then driving without a valid driver’s license,” Oklahoma police shared in a statement.
This is Bryan’s sixth time being arrested since 2020. He was also arrested in La Quinta, California for driving under the influence earlier this year in February.
Fox News reports Bryan was booked around 8: 30 a.m. on Oct. 25.
Bryan is best known for his role as Tim Allen’s son in the former hit sitcom “Home Improvement.”

Four months after being arrested in September 2023, Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested yet again.
This time, the troubled former child star was stopped by law enforcement on February 17 for “driving under the influence with three or more priors,” TMZ reports. Additionally, Bryan was “also booked for contempt of court, a misdemeanor.”
The traffic stop occurred after police “saw a vehicle they suspected of being involved in a traffic collision,” TMZ reported. After being pulled over, Bryan reportedly showed signs of being under the influence.
Details of Bryan’s fourth arrested continued below

Zachery Ty Bryan found himself behind bars for the fourth time since 2020 this past week, but it doesn’t appear to be as serious as his last few offenses. He was arrested on Thursday (Sept. 28) and charged with two counts of 4th-degree felony assault, but was reportedly released from jail on Sunday (Oct. 1).
There was a bit of confusion and concern when news of his arrest first went public – especially given his past run-ins with the law. Nonetheless, his latest arrest was more of a misunderstanding and technicality than anything. In fact, TMZ reports that his latest arrest wasn’t the result of a new incident.
According to his attorney, John Kolego, Zachery was arrested during a pre-trial court office appearance after he violated a release agreement from earlier this year – when he was charged with assault in the fourth degree. It appears as if he accidentally forgot to charge his ankle monitor – that was the violation.

This wasn’t his first run-in with the law. Between 2004 and 2020, Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested and charged with four DUIs – in 2004, 2007, 2017, and 2020. He was sentenced to five years probation and 18 months in an alcohol program as a result of his most recent DUI in May 2020.
ZTB was arrested again just a few months later – this time, he was charged with felony strangulation, fourth-degree assault, coercion, menacing, harassment, and interference. The heinous charges stemmed from an alleged argument he got into with his then-girlfriend (now-fiance), Johnnie Faye Cartwright, 30.
Despite the charges, ZTB insisted that the entire story was being blown out of proportion. He later copped a plea deal that saw four of his charges dropped and was found guilty of two misdemeanor offenses for assault and menacing. Things seemed to work out between him and Cartwright over the next few years.
The couple actually got engaged in November 2021 (less than a year after the arrest) and welcomed three children in the two years since – a daughter, Kennedy, in April 2022 and twins, Parker and Sequoia, in May 2023.
Zachery Ty Bryan Arrested for a Third Time Earlier This Year
Zachery Ty Bryan stayed out of trouble for nearly three years after his DUI and strangling incident in 2020, but trouble found its way back in July 2023. He was arrested on July 28 and was charged with assault in the fourth degree APA (Abuse Prevention Act), robbery in the third degree, and harassment.
The charges stemmed from an argument he got into with an unidentified female earlier that day. He spent a total of six days in jail before being released on August 3, when his attorney, John Kolego, asked the public not to rush to judgment out of a ‘presumption of innocence.’
On August 1, a few days before he was released, Johnnie Faye Cartwright wrote a statement defending her fiance. “Trauma can bring struggles in many shapes and forms. It’s a horrible situation that’s going to be spun in so many ways,” she wrote – adding she will always want what’s best for Zachery Ty Bryan.

As for his most recent arrest on September 28, Kolego is claiming that initial reports of him going on a drinking binge at local bars were untrue and damaging. It was nothing more than him forgetting to charge his ankle monitor and the arrest didn’t even involve a judge.
He was eventually released after posting bail.
