Moore and Goldsmith, 35, welcomed their first child earlier this year on February 20, while Duff and Koma, 33, delivered baby Mae to their family on March 24. The couple also has daughter Banks Violet, 2, and Duff is mom to son Luca Cruz, 9.

Following their new babies’ births, both moms have been updating fans about their motherhood journey. Mandy Moore did so most recently with a photo of August who she calls “Gus” enjoying what the actor described as her son’s most cherished pastime, a bath.

“He may be @taylordawesgoldsmith’s twin but he sure does love a bath, just like his mama. #thisisgus,” Moore captioned the photo of her son with a huge smile on his face as his dad gives him a baby bath in a little tub.

For Duff’s part, she has shared numerous photos of her first days with Mae as she gets acquainted with her siblings. One of the most dramatic shows husband Koma and their two kids all around a birthing tub cradling a freshly born Mae.

“Mae James Bair – We LOVE you beauty 3-24-21,” Duff captioned the black and white image.

The actor opened up recently about her difficulties breastfeeding her newborn girl  Informed Pregnancy Podcast. Duff reveals how breastfeeding has always been “really hard for me.”

“I’d say it was the easiest with Luca. All of the babies latch really great, I’m just not a huge milk-producer, so it’s emotional for me,” said Duff.

“In fact, this is the first baby that I haven’t supplemented with yet, so I’ve just exclusively been breastfeeding her. I’m going to keep trying that for a couple of weeks.”

“It seems like every 20 minutes I’m feeding the baby, and I have to be sitting in one place, and Banks is still not quite old enough to understand, even though she has been amazing with the baby. It’s just hard.”

But, Hilary Duff is not the only one who has been dealing with issues related to motherhood. Friend, Mandy Moore has also opened up about her own lingering health issue after the birth of Gus.

Moore said that she had low platelets throughout her pregnancy and was still dealing with the issue weeks after Gus’s birth. “Back at the hematologist to see if my platelets have gone up since having the baby,” she shared in April.

The condition dashed her plans for a home birth. “Platelets are going up, but still not great,” she shared from her car following the latest appointment with her doctor. “I’m on a mission to do whatever I can to get them to a solid place so I don’t have to wonder or worry during the next pregnancy.”
