As a first-time dad, Bravo host Andy Cohen is constantly learning and doing new things as he raises his son Benjamin as a single parent. Most recently, the father opened up about his son’s first play date.
On Instagram, Cohen and his friends, Million Dollar Listing star Ryan Serhant and his wife Emilia Bechrakis Serhant, got their children, who were born just three weeks apart, together for their first play date. Serhant shared a quick video of the 8-month-olds’ big outing to his story.

As People reports, fans could hear Serhant saying “Smile! Zena, say hi to your boyfriend,” referring to Benjamin.
Serhant later took to Twitter to reveal that Zena’s first “date” with Benjamin “went well.”
Both Benjamin and Zena were born in February. However, Cohen’s baby boy is older having been welcomed into the world via a surrogate on February 4. And one look at his Instagram account proves just how much Cohen loves being a dad.
Following his birth, Cohen said, “WOW! This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen. He is nine pounds, two ounces!! 20 inches!! Born at 6:35 pm, PT. He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow.”
He later told People, just ten days after Ben was born, that he can’t wait to experience life with his son by his side, adding that he’s excited to watch as he achieves milestones and for the chance to celebrate life’s greatest victories with him.
“First day of school, bar mitzvah, just tucking him in, being on the beach with him. I’m in a place in my life where I have a pretty generous schedule and where I can afford to pick up and go somewhere for the weekend. I’m excited to go on adventures with him and show him the world. I want to see him running around a big green yard. I want to teach him to swim.”
And as a first-time dad, Cohen has also been grateful for his female friendships. He told People that his close friends, fellow host Kelly Ripa and actress Sarah Jessica Parker, have been there for him every step of the way. And he plans on making sure women are a huge part of Ben’s life as well, despite him technically not having a mother.

Cohen said one of his most important relationships throughout his life has been his relationship with his mother.
“I want Benny to be surrounded by as many women as possible. Women have played such a key role in my life. My most important relationship has probably been with my mom. He will be surrounded by women. He needs it. We all need it.”
And Cohen doesn’t want Ben to be an only child for long. Last month, he told Today that Ben needs a sibling, so it looks like Cohen will be a dad of two sooner rather than later.
“Yes, he needs a girlfriend, and he needs a sibling. I think maybe he does. I’m taking it one step at a time.” And with the girlfriend category already filled with Zena, it looks like baby number 2 is the natural next step.
