Jason Kelce is opening up about life as a girl dad. The 35-year-old Philadelphia Eagles’ center spoke exclusively with PEOPLE while filming a Campbell’s commercial with his younger brother, Travis Kelce, and mother, Donna Kelce. From the sounds of it, Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, are loving parenthood.
The couple originally met on an online dating app and started dating in late-2015 – when they posted their first photo together on Instagram. Jason and Kylie got married in April 2018 and currently share three daughters together – Wyatt (October 2, 2019), Elliotte (March 4, 2021), and Bennett (February 23, 2023).
In his interview with PEOPLE, Jason described being a father as ‘by far the biggest highlight of my life, no question about it.’ Since welcoming his first daughter, he has gained a newfound level of respect and gratitude for his parents – now that he sees the sacrifices they were making daily when he was younger.
Like most parents today, Kylie and Jason Kelce often worry about their daughters and won’t hesitate to take them to a doctor if they feel something isn’t right. In fact, that’s exactly what happened with their youngest daughter – 3-month-old Bennett – not too long ago and it had to do with her sleeping patterns.
“Our third baby, Bennett, she sleeps too good. She sleeps so much that we had to talk to our pediatrician and make sure that it was okay that she was sleeping this much,” Jason said to PEOPLE. While they’ve enjoyed how peaceful and quiet their daughter is, they wanted to make sure everything was okay first.
With that said, they understand that things are going to change when Bennett is ‘up and actually moving around’ – after all, this isn’t their first rodeo. According to Jason, that’s when things are going to get ‘really difficult,’ so they feel they’ve ‘lucked out’ with their youngest, who is making things ‘really, really easy.’
Jason Kelce Talks About Spoiling His Daughters
Before Jason Kelce became a father for the first time, he always envisioned himself as being the ‘tough love’ type of girl dad. “Before I had children, I told myself if I ever have a daughter, I’m just going to treat them exactly the same as a son. I don’t think that you should treat kids necessarily different,” he said.
As he entered fatherhood, he never thought he’d be the type of father to spoil his daughters and never really understood why fathers did. Of course, that all changed when he experienced fatherhood for himself – at that point, he was on-board with spoiling his little ones and has done so ever since.
“And then when I had a daughter, I was like, ‘I’m not going to spoil her, I’m going to raise her tough. She’s going to be hard.’ And the moment she came out, I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s not going to work,’” he said to PEOPLE. It’s something only girl dads could understand – it comes with the territory of having a daughter.

While his youngest daughter enjoys sleeping, he says his two older daughters have a little more personality. Jason Kelce described Wyatt as ‘headstrong and very opinionated,’ but her little sister, Elliotte, is more the type to ‘go with the flow’ and spends a lot of time ‘just following her big sister.’
