On January 3, retired actress Cameron Diaz and her husband, rocker Benji Madden took to social media to share big news. The couple became parents for the first time.
Diaz shared a screenshot of their statement to Instagram.
It read, “Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden. She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.”

“While we are overjoyed to share the news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy. So we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really cute!! Some would even say RAD:) From our family to all of yours, we’re sending our love and best wishes for a Happy New Year and Happy New Decade.”
Now, The Blast is revealing Diaz and Madden’s daughter’s full name and birth date. After obtaining the infant’s birth certificate, it was revealed the new parents welcomed their bundle of joy into the world on December 30, 2019, at 1:58 p.m. at Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
And according to her birth certificate, the infant’s full name is Raddix Chloe Wildflower Madden. The news of Raddix’s birth comes years after Diaz told Esquire in 2014 that she “was never drawn to being a mother.”
However, according to People, a source said that all changed when she met Madden. The couple has been married since 2015. The following year, Diaz retired from acting.

“Cameron is so much more settled, stable and happy. It was natural to want a baby. It took some maturing, growth, introspection and learning to find the right kind of guy before Cameron took any kind of steady relationship seriously. Like they intend on doing with their daughter’s upbringing, Diaz and Madden have kept their relationship very private with the exception of a few social media posts here and there. Congratulation to the happy family of three.
