Jenelle Evans is back in the news — this time for getting a new dog.
The Teen Mom 2 star shared with fans on Twitter that she had gotten a golden doodle puppy that the family has named Rosey. The news comes less than a year after her French Bulldog Nugget was allegedly shot and killed by her estranged husband David Eason.
Evans shared that she and her family decided to get a new dog after they moved from their home in North Carolina to Nashville, Tennessee.
“I thought the best way [to get them comfortable] was to buy a dog,” she wrote on her blog about making her children comfortable in their new home. “Yes, I know what you’re thinking, ‘Jenelle is crazy!’ Sometimes I have the best ideas, and sometimes I don’t. This idea turned out to be a good one.”
Jenelle wrote that she decided to get a Golden doodle after doing some research.
“This breed is perfect for kids! Golden doodles are known to be super friendly with everyone, extremely playful, and therapy dogs, which help with anxiety,” she wrote on her blog.
Evans and Eason split in November after a tumultuous couple of years, including several breakups.
In October 2018, Jenelle told police that David assaulted her, but later told E! News that it was just “a drunk and dramatic misunderstanding.”
After many months of off-and-on back-and-forth, the couple made headlines after Eason shot and killed the family dog while Jenelle’s children were present. As a result, the couple lost custody of their children, including Jenelle and Eason’s daughter, Ensley.
Following the incident, Jenelle was fired by MTV. At the time, Jenelle talked about divorcing Eason, but later said she was trying to work on the relationship.
In July, Jenelle regained custody of her children and focused on spending time with them, while also working on her relationship with Eason. However, the couple broke up in October after being married for two years.
Now, though, rumor has it that the couple are back together. Jenelle, though, denies they’ve reconciled.
She told E! News that they are just “co-parenting together.”
Given their history, though, it’s hard to take anything at face value. In fact, according to earlier reports, the couple is actually living together again.
