Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Eason (née Evans) and her family are in the middle of a waking nightmare. According to Jenelle, her husband, David Eason, shot and killed her dog, Nugget, after it bit their daughter on the face.
Jenelle Evans Honors Her Late Dog
On Wednesday, May 1, Jenelle shared a post to her Instagram in loving memory of her beloved French Bulldog, Nugget. By that time, news had already begun circulating that her husband, David, had shot and killed Nugget after the dog bit two-year-old Ensley on the face.
“Nugget… I’m crying everyday,” Jenelle’s post begins. “I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless … You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back.”

Later, Jenelle shared a headline to her Instagram that says, “Jenelle Evans Is Considering Divorce After David Eason Kills Her Dog,” which seems to confirm that the story is accurate. (She has since deleted the post, but screenshots live forever.)
David Speaks Out About the Situation
David appeared to admit to killing Jenelle Evans’ dog in a post on one of his Instagram accounts. “I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face,” read David’s caption in the video of the incident. “Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I don’t put up with that shit at all. I’m all about protecting my family.”
In the second slide of the Instagram post above, you can see a photo of Ensley with a red mark on her face, presumably where Nugget bit her. Thankfully, there does not appear to be a break in her skin.
Further Complications
However, TMZ reports that police arrived at Jenelle and David’s home for a welfare check on Tuesday, April 30 and could not find any evidence the dog had been killed. (David did not allow them to see the dog.) According to their sources, no charges will be filed against David unless Jenelle files them herself. Given her recent posts, it seems like that could be a possibility.
Sources close to the couple claim Jenelle and David are currently not speaking and that Jenelle has taken the kids and is staying away from David due to fear of his behavior.
