Model Gigi Hadid is not “disguising” her baby bump and she wants the world to know that. After British Vogue posted an article about her baby bump and her recent wardrobe choices, the model responded to the popular publications reporting saying that she is not trying to hide anything.
In the article posted on July 2, the reporter talked about Hadid’s recent Instagram Live she had with New York chef Sophia Roe to discuss racial inequality, privilege, and the anti-racist movement. As Vogue pointed out, Hadid has been relatively hush-hush about her pregnancy since announcing it in May.
This will be Hadid’s and her boyfriend, Zayne Malik‘s first child. Hadid has not yet revealed if she is having a boy or a girl, but it is believed that she is about six months along.
Gigi Hadid Is Not Disguising Her Baby Bump, She Just Wants Some Privacy
While talking with Roe on Instagram, Vogue says Hadid did respond to one viewer who commented, “How do you not have a tummy? I’m 4 months into my pregnancy and my tummy is huge you look great tho!” After reading the comment, Hadid responded by saying, “This angle and the really baggy jumpsuit make for an optical illusion,” adding, “From the side, it’s a different story!”
However, when Vogue posted the story to Twitter, the magazine captioned the article writing, “Gigi Hadid is yet to post a picture showing her baby bump, but her genius disguise gives an insight into her lockdown pregnancy.” Hadid took offense to the use of the world “disguise.”
“Disguise ….? I said in a baggy jumpsuit the front and side views are visually different stories- not that that was intentional or I was trying to hide anything. Will be proud and happy to share “insight” when I feel like it, thanks,” the mom-to-be responded in a tweet of her own.

“For now,” Hadid added, “I am proudly experiencing and sharing this time with my family and loved ones.” Whenever Hadid is ready to let the world in on her bump and other parts of her pregnancy journey, we’ll be ready. But until then, we respect the model wanting some privacy.
