Retired actress Cameron Diaz may not be sharing pictures of her infant daughter with the public, but that doesn’t mean she’s not going to talk about being a new mom publicly.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, on January 3, Diaz and her husband, Benji Madden, took to Instagram to share news of their daughter’s birth. The couple also shared that they named their newborn daughter, Raddix Chloe Wildflower Madden. And boy are they in love with their little girl.
Motherhood Sure Does Look Good on Cameron Diaz
While talking with The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, Diaz surprisingly opened up about what it was like being a mom for the first time. “Heaven. It’s been heaven, Jimmy,” Diaz said about motherhood.
She went on to add that every day, Raddix seems like a brand new baby as she is changing constantly as she grows. “You have to saver every moment. It goes so fast.”
“You really understand, people have always said to me, really enjoy the time when they’re babies; it goes so fast. And literally, every single day, there’s just leaps and bounds and these things that happen—she’s not the same baby she was yesterday. […] It’s so gratifying to actually get to see that growth and to be a part of it and to help let her be her, and it’s just amazing. It’s the best thing that ever happened to both Benj and I. We’re just so happy.”
And when it comes to Raddix’s love of music, it seems like that is something she inherited from her rockstar of a father. “We have Baby Shark on rotation. The Elmo song. We have Sesame Street. It’s crazy. We’re just jamming out over here.”
And Diaz admitted she never thought she would play those cliché baby songs for her child, but after seeing the way Raddix responded to the music, she had no choice but to become a fan herself. And she’s become quite the daddy’s girl as well.
“She just loves it. She looks at her daddy and she just loves him so much. She thinks he’s the bee’s knees. It makes my heart just want to explode.” How incredibly sweet is that?
