Authorities say they were called to a putt-putt golf course in Memphis, Tennesse after a dispute between workers and customers got out of hand. According to TMZ, the mini-golf complex known as the Putt-Putt Fun Center got flooded with hundreds of kids after a mass parent drop-off in July.
As reports suggest, there were a total of 300 to 400 kids who were dropped off by their parents. However, chaos ensued when some of the customers demanded refunds. It then turned violent.

Staff told police that just the number of people present at the complex was against their COVID-19 protocols. Then one of the teens ripped off the plexiglass that was installed to separate workers from customers and others started throwing other objects behind the desk.
As a video of the incident, which was posted on the What’s Good Memphis Facebook page, shows it only escalated from there. Not only were metal line dividers thrown at the workers, but TMZ also reports that at one point even a firework was set off in the complex.
Hundreds of Teens End Up at Putt-Putt Course, Chaos Ensues
It was later revealed that the reason the customer had asked for a refund was because some of the machines were not working properly and taking their money without actually letting them play a game. A mom who was at the Putt-Putt Fun Center hours earlier admitted that she also had issues with the machines while she was there with her family. However, as the mom wrote on Facebook the staff was very accommodating and understanding.
As a result, she and the group she was with ended up having a great time. As the mom took to Facebook to share the video she also addressed the teenager who started the uproar, writing, “Y’all ruin and embarrass the city so much.”

According to TMZ, that teenager was given a juvenile summons for disorderly conduct by the responding authorities.
