Joy Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth recently shared the devastating news that their second child, a girl, was stillborn at 20 weeks. Stillborn births affect approximately 1 in 100 pregnancies every year in the United States.
Joy shared the news via the couple’s Instagram page, revealing, “We named her Annabell Elise. Annabell means ‘God has favored me,’ and Elise means, ‘God satisfies.’ What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first she saw was the face of Jesus.”
