Alan Jackson and Wife Denise Jackson Are Officially Grandparents As They Celebrate 43 Years of Marriage

Alan Jackson and his wife, Denise Jackson, have a lot to be thankful for as they prepare for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Not only did the couple celebrate their 43-year anniversary on Friday, December 15th, but they welcomed their first grandchild into this world just two days beforehand.

Alan and Denise were high school sweethearts that decided to get married on December 15, 1979 – Alan was 21 years old at the time, while Denise was 19 years old. The couple separated nearly two decades later, but never got divorced and eventually reconciled – they’ve been living happily ever after ever since.

They share three daughters together – Mattie Denise Selecman, who was born in 1990, Alexandra Jane “Ali”, who was born in 1993, and Dani Grace, who was born in 1997. Ali might be the middle child, but she’s the first of her siblings to give birth as Denise and Alan transition from parents to grandparents.

Alan Jackson took to Instagram to commemorate the exciting news, sharing a photograph of him and his wife holding the newborn. The two were sitting on a couch – the baby wrapped up tight in Denise’s arms, who was surrounded by Alan in his trademark Cowboy hat. That new ‘grandparent glow’ was evident.

“Denise and I are celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary with our new grandson Jackson Alvie Bradshaw. Ali and Sam welcomed Jack into the world on Dec 13, 2022. So happy that this little guy has made us grandparents!,” wrote Alan in the caption. You can tell they’ve been waiting for this moment.

Just a few hours before that, Alan posted another photo of him and his wife – this one commemorating the 43 years they’ve spent together. “Everyone, wish Alan and Denise a Happy Anniversary!” the singer wrote in the caption as hundreds of fans took to the comments section to wish them a beautiful day.

The news also comes roughly three weeks after Alan Jackson posted a photo of his family in front of his massive fireplace – a photo that featured Ali’s baby bump which is now gone. Alan was pictured with his wife, his three daughters, and their three significant others. Oh, and their two dogs were present, as well.

Alan Jackson is a CMA Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient

Alan Jackson has enjoyed an illustrious 40-year career in the music industry – a career that includes 16 studio albums, three ‘Greatest Hits’ albums, two gospel albums, and two Christmas albums. His 75 million records sold worldwide – 44 million of which are in the US – is something very few artists can compete with.

That’s why it was no surprise to see Alan Jackson receive the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Country Music Awards – hosted by Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan. It’s an award that honors “an iconic artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in Country Music.”

“I’ve had a great team around me my whole career that has helped me, great songwriters. I’ve been so fortunate to have all that to help me get this far. I can’t thank everybody who’s been in my life all these years, but I do have to say thanks to my wife Denise, over there somewhere,” he said in his speech.
