America Ferrera had some extra special news to share as she rang in the New Year – the actress is pregnant with Baby Number Two!
On New Year’s Eve, Ferrera shared a sweet photo of herself and her family out in the winter snow, writing, “Welcoming Baby #2 in 2020! Happy New Year from our wild & growing bunch.”

America Ferrara announced over the holidays that she is pregnant and expecting her second child!
The picture features her husband, Ryan Piers Williams, and their son Sebastian, 19-months-old, lovingly looking at Ferrera’s growing baby bump.
Williams also shared the same family photo, saying, “So much to look forward to in 2020, but one thing in particular sticks out! Can’t wait to welcome another beautiful creature into this world. Happy New Years!!”
Ferrera’s friends and fans delighted in the news, including her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-starand longtime friend Amber Tamblyn who wrote, “Finally I can scream it from the rooftops!!!! CONGRATULATIONS MY LOVE!!”
Other fans, including Reese Witherspoon, Judith Light, Vanessa Williams, Kerry Washington, and Mindy Kaling, wrote to wish Ferrera and her family well on their newest addition.
Later, Ferrara shared a photo of herself at the gym. (Spot that baby bump!)
“Soooooooo hard to workout through the nausea & exhaustion of my first trimester!!!,” her caption begins. She continues:
I would walk into the gym and nap for 10 minutes on the massage table before I started. Some weeks I’d only muster 1 workout or I’d miss the week entirely, but I refused to feel like I had failed. Through this pregnancy I’m equally committed to feeling strong AND being kind to myself. As you start your 2020 workout resolutions, be kind to yourself. Celebrate your intentions and meet yourself where you’re at with compassion for everything you’re asking of yourself. Go get it! Thanks @grantrobertsfit for letting me nap between sets.

Ferrera and Williams got married in June 2011 and welcome their son Sebastian in May 2018. At the time, Ferrera talked to People about how her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn, who are also all moms, shared parenting tips and tricks with her as she awaited the arrival of her first child.
No word on when Ferrera is expecting her second child, but it’s sure to be a very sweet New Year for the family.
