Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes had quite the busy holiday season, but they aren’t letting it ruin their time together and are now closer than ever – despite the media and critics desperately trying to tear them apart. In fact, the past week tells just about everything you need to know about where they’re currently at.
Robach returned to Instagram last week in what could be a move to return to the public eye after more than a month of trying to hide from it. She deactivated her account in November when her romance with Holmes started to make headlines. Holmes has yet to re-activate his Instagram after doing the same.
While Robach hasn’t posted anything since returning to the social media platform, it’s important to note she hasn’t deleted anything – including photos of her and Andrew Shue, her ex-husband. They tied the knot in 2010, but separated in August 2021 and began the process of finalizing a divorce in December.

The news comes amid a busy week of headlines for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. For example, Holmes filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years, Marilee Fiebig – nearly a month after Robach filed for divorce from Shue. The news broke just one day after Holmes and Robach shared a romantic getaway in Miami.
On December 30th, photos of that getaway surfaced – which included photos of Holmes and Robach kissing, walking along the beach, and embracing the sights of the boardwalk. It appears the two are very much a couple – something several sources have confirmed since the relationship went public and viral.
In fact, one source is telling PEOPLE that the two aren’t shying away from what they are. “[They] spent the holidays together and are spending all of their time together right now. They are fully in a relationship. They are not hiding anything because they have no reason to,” said the source, confirming the obvious.
The source also discussed the news of Holmes filing for divorce last week, adding that the 45-year-old journalist and news anchor was ‘unhappy in his marriage and had been for a while.’ Nonetheless, Holmes seems to have found happiness in his new relationship with Robach – which is very much alive right now.
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Remain Off-Air Amid Investigation
While their relationship continues to pick up steam, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ career with Good Morning America, GMA3, and the ABC network is still very much in the air. While they returned to work after their relationship initially made headlines, they were quickly taken off the air several episodes later.
According to the investigation by ABC, employees had speculated the relationship for months – with some employees seeing them ‘leaving the station together, getting into a car together, going to dinner together, hearing plans for a weekend getaway [and] even kissing in a car.’ The investigation is ongoing.
As of right now, Holmes and Robach haven’t hosted GMA3 since Friday, December 2, 2022, and there’s no telling if they’ll return to the network once the investigation concludes – especially given all the new evidence that the relationship is alive and growing stronger.
