Amy Schumer Announces She Can’t Be Pregnant Ever Again

Amy Schumer is having second thoughts about giving 15-month-old Gene a younger sibling due to difficultly with in vitro fertilization treatments.

Back in January, Schumer completed an egg-retrieval process and the following month, revealed how she and husband Chris Fischer had secured at least one embryo.

But in a preview for an episode of Sunday Today With Willie Geist, she said they are reconsidering their plans.

“We did IVF, and IVF was really tough on me,” she said. “I don’t think I could ever do IVF again.”

Between that and her nine-month struggle with hyperemesis gravidarum, a pregnancy complication that comes with severe nausea and vomiting, she seems ready to accept that she won’t conceive or carry any potential future children.

“I decided that I can’t be pregnant ever again,” she said.

“We thought about a surrogate, but I think we’re going to hold off for right now.”

And if the couple decides to add to their family or now, both she and Chris are over the moon with Gene right now.
