Amy Schumer welcomed her first child, Gene Attell Fischer, in May this year. Since then (and throughout her pregnancy), she has been incredibly candid about the ups and downs of motherhood, all while maintaining her signature sense of humor. Schumer recently upped the ante, though, by sharing a never-before-seen photo of the exact moment she learned she was pregnant.
The photo shows Schumer sitting on a toilet (Jessica Seinfeld‘s, according to Schumer’s caption) with a “holy s**t, I’m going to be a mom” expression on her face.

“#TBT the day I found out I was pregnant in @jessseinfeld bathroom,” Schumer’s caption of the all-too-familiar-looking scene reads.
That certainly looks like the expression of a woman who just found out she’s pregnant with her first!
Schumer continues to document her motherhood journey on Instagram, frequently posting photos of intimate family moments, usually with dry, hilarious captions. She has even floated the idea of releasing a documentary about her pregnancy.
Schumer suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum while pregnant, which left her feeling constantly ill. Since giving birth, Schumer has continued to be candid about the highs and lows of motherhood.
She’s professed her love for mesh hospital underwear, embraced her “warm, soft” postpartum body, and has learned the hard way that having a baby affects your social life, even when your social life includes Jennifer Lawrence.
The never-before-seen photo of Schumer learning she was pregnant is just the latest in a string of entertaining, relatable, and refreshingly honest posts from the comedian. We hope she keeps ’em coming!
And P.S., this is certainly not the first time Schumer has shared a photo of herself on the toilet. Remember this classic?
