Born on May 5, Gene has graced his mom’s Instagram feed multiple times. Most recently, Schumer shared a video of Gene visiting her on the set of one of her latest projects.

The video showed Gene quickly becoming the center of attention as he was being held tightly by his mom. Multiple people in the background can be heard gushing over Gene and his adorable little face, while his mom gave him “a million kisses.”

And Gene seemed to love all of the attention as he smiled sweetly at his admirers, taking it all in. In just three days, the video has been viewed over 2.1 million times.

Many of Schumer’s followers couldn’t believe how big Gene is getting. Reality star, Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, wrote, “Omg squishy.” While singer, Domino Kirke, added, “Ugh! How is he this big already…?!”

She wrote, “[Five] months today and like all moms, I love him so much it hurts. I’m feeling strong and good and like I’m still a human being with interests and ambitions and goals I’m excited to reach. It’s felt good to be back at work. I was so worried about it and was afraid to go back after he was 3 months old. A couple days I’ve cried from missing him. But it’s mostly good to be back and the breaks energize me to be a better mom and appreciate our time even more. I have it a lot easier than many people but I wanted to share my experience.”

The post resonated with a lot of other working moms who follow Schumer on Instagram.

Gene has clearly become the apple of Schumer’s eye. And despite describing parenting as “nuts,” she meant it in the best way possible, telling others that she “recommends being a parent if you can.”
