Former ‘Two and a Half Men’ Star, Angus Turner Jones, Debuts New Shaved Haircut While Running Errands in LA

There must be something in the air (or in this case, hair) because everyone seems to be changing their hairdo as we prepare for another fall season. Days after Jennifer Love Hewitt got rid of her blonde locks and opted for a red-ish bob haircut, another celebrity was seen with a new ‘do – Angus Turner Jones.

Most of us remember Angus Turner Jones from his role as Jake Harper in the hit TV show Two and a Half Men. He was 10 years old when he was cast in the show alongside Jon Cryer (who played his father) and Charlie Sheen (who played his uncle). He was one of the show’s main characters for 10 seasons.

He has maintained his distance from Hollywood ever since leaving the show in 2013, which is why he always looks so different every time we see him in public. And while it has nearly been a year since we last saw him, it’s no surprise that he looked nearly unrecognizable when spotted in LA two weeks ago.

Photographers spotted Angus Turner Jones, 29, taking a stroll on his bicycle in Los Angeles on August 28, but something looked different about him – his hair. He was sporting a completely shaved head (bald) and he also cut his beard to a more manageable length – it used to hang down to the bottom of his chest.

The former child actor was wearing a plain black t-shirt, gray shorts, black shoes, and eyeglasses while on what appeared to be a very nice bicycle. It’s a similar attire to what we saw him wearing the next day, when he was spotted walking down the street with an oversized water bottle and flip phone in his hands.

While the beard was a bit of a shock from what we were used to, it was the flip phone that really took fans by surprise – let’s be honest, some of you reading this don’t remember a time when flip phones existed. Since he likes to stay away from social media, it makes perfect sense why he would opt for a flip phone.

Prior to these two most recent outings in Los Angeles, Angus Turner Jones was last seen in public in August 2022. At the time, he was on his way to a barbecue dinner with his younger brother, Otto, and was wearing a gray beanie – his hair hadn’t been shaved yet and his beard resembled that of Dusty Hill

Why Did Angus Turner Jones Leave ‘Two and a Half Men?’

In just one month, Angus Turner Jones will celebrate quite a milestone birthday when he turns 30 years old on October 8. That might come as a surprise since most of us haven’t seen him in nearly 10 years, which might beg the question – where has he been this whole time and why doesn’t he act anymore?

Towards the end of his 10-year tenure with Two and a Half Men, Angus T. Jones grew disappointed with the direction of the show and felt uncomfortable with the storylines it produced. He continued on through the 10th season, but ultimately decided the show went against his religious views and decided to leave.

He was baptized in November 2012 – shortly after the 10th season premiered – and didn’t appear in the final episodes of that season. While he was listed as a ‘recurring character’ in Season 11, he didn’t appear in any episodes and announced his official departure in March 2014 (he had a cameo in 2015).

Angus Turner Jones was 20 years old when he announced his departure and has largely stayed out of the public spotlight ever since. Every now and then, we catch a glimpse of him making his way around LA, but it doesn’t happen often. We don’t know when we’ll see him again, but we wish him all the best!
