The year 2020 will be a big one for model Ashley Graham and her husband as they get set to welcome their first child together.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Graham and her husband of nine years, Justin Ervin, announced their pregnancy on August 14. The couple were overjoyed to share their big news with their fans.
And ever since she revealed her pregnancy, Graham has kept it real with her followers over the last four months. She’s admitted that while she’s grown to love her changing body, it was hard for her to handle at first.
Graham said on an episode of her EllenTube show, Fearless, about a photo she posted shortly after revealing her pregnancy.
“The reason I had posted that original photo, I had just announced that I was pregnant and I thought then that I was going to feel good and I didn’t. I felt, I just felt terrible. And that morning I thought to myself. ‘Get it together, Ashley. There are other women out there going through the same thing as you. Why don’t you have a dialogue?’ This is a new body that I’m walking into why don’t I just put myself out there with this new body.“
Graham Is Now Loving Her Pregnancy Body After Admitting That Was Hard for Her At First
Now, in a new Instagram post, Graham is saying that she’s now comfortable in her own skin again and loving the body that is growing her son.
Graham wrote, “Throughout my pregnancy so far I’ve gained 50lbs. And the best part is, I don’t care! I have never felt better, and I am so thankful that my body and son have allowed me to be as mobile and flexible as I have been.”
The soon-to-be mom continued, “Between working out, yoga, acupuncture, and lymphatic massages- I finally feel like I figured out this whole pregnancy thing and how to feel my best.”
Hundreds of women commented on Graham’s post to commend the mom on her honesty and her ability to be real with her millions of followers. One commenter wrote, “I gained 50 too. Our bodies surrender to them. It’s the most rewarding gift.”
Another mom added, “I gained 55 with my daughter, and she was born healthy and absolutely beautiful. As long as you feel good, mama, that’s all that matters! Enjoy every second! You’re absolutely beaming.”
And one person said, “I put on 52 pounds with my pregnancy and I felt amazing and you need to feel amazing whilst pregnant and also enjoy the journey. When you settle into Motherhood and get yourself in a routine again you will smash it out and go back to the best version of yourself.”
It’s amazing how a supportive group of moms can make you feel. Graham is expected to give birth in January 2020.
