In April, Celebrity Chef and Editor in Chief of Sweet July Magazine, Ayesha Curry, took to Instagram Live to cook one of the recipes that she put in her very first issues of Sweet July. The mom of three chatted with her fans and invited them to cook along with her.

So that’s what Mamas Uncut did as well.

And Ayesha wasn’t lying. Despite being a professional chef, the mom of three managed to get the entire meals done in just 25 minutes, while her kids and her husband carried on in the background, often trying to be on camera as well.

If you want to try out the recipe, Ayesha saved her Instagram Live video to her feed.

“Always season as you go,” Ayesha said while taking her fans through the recipe step by step. That means after every time she put a new ingredient into the pot, she added some salt and pepper as well.

As Ayesha says, the first step of any recipe is prepping the ingredients.

Next heat the pan before putting in the oil, add in the olive oil, then the turkey and don’t forget the salt and pepper!

As Ayesha instructs only brown the ground turkey at this point in the process. She explains that if you cook it all the way through now, it will overcook while it simmers at the end.

Once the turkey has browned, remove it with a spoon from the pot and set it aside. Then in the juices created from the turkey that is left in the pot, add in the onions with more salt and pepper.

Then add in the red bell pepper, garlic, salt, pepper, and once that has cooked for about a minute or two, add in all of your spices, including more salt and pepper.

And next, all of the beans, and yep you guessed it, more salt and pepper.

Now add in the crushed tomato, the browned turkey you set aside, salt, pepper, and simmer for 20 minutes.

Finally, plate your deliciously homemade turkey chili…

And garnish with green onion, sour cream, and if you wish, cheddar cheese.

And there you have it. It’s as easy as that! Bon Appetit.
