Retired actress Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden rang in the New Year by welcoming their daughter Raddix Chloe Wildflower Madden into the world on December 30. Aside from announcing her birth, Diaz and Madden vowed to keep their private life with their daughter private.
And they have done just that. However, for the first time since Raddix’s birth, the proud father is opening up about how he feels “so lucky” every day to have both women in his life.

In a short, but incredibly sweet Instagram post, Madden wrote, “My Wife and Daughter fill me up with so much gratitude. Every day, I feel so lucky. Just wanted to say it out loud!!! Much Love & Best Wishes.”
New Dad Benji Madden Gushes Over Wife and Infant Daughter
The happy couple has yet to release a photo of Raddix. In fact, the image that accompanied the above post was a sketch of roses. The couple explained in their announcement that they didn’t intend to share photos of their daughter in order to protect her privacy.
“Happy New Year From the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden. She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family,” Diaz shared shortly after their daughter’s birth.
The proud mom continued, “While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy. So we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!! Some would even say RAD :)”
The Good Charlotte guitarist and actress publicly announced their first child’s arrival in January.

“They waited for so long to have a baby, so now they are just enjoying their daughter,” a source told People. “They are still in baby bliss and the happiest parents. They take turns staying with the baby and don’t really leave the house together.”
Madden and Diaz began dating in 2014 and got married on January 5, 2015, in Beverly Hills.
