Well, that is one way to celebrate their first year together as husband and wife! On March 25, Bindi Sue Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell welcomed their child into the world.
Irwin announced the happy news on her Instagram with the sweetest picture of her holding their sweet little girl as she and Chandler loving gazed down upon her tiny face. The 22-year-old also shared the name they choose to call their new little one; Grace Warrior Irwin Powell.

Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell are Parents!
“Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter,” the new mom wrote on Instagram before explaining the powerful meaning behind their daughter’s name and the beautiful tribute it holds, celebrating her late grandfather Steve Irwin.
“Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad. There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed.”
Irwin also revealed that Grace was born at 5:52 p.m. and measured 20 inches long and weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces. Chandler also shared the same photos on his Instagram page, while sharing a few of his own words.
“Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. After waiting for you to arrive for the last 9 months, finally meeting you has been the best moment of my life,” the proudest father wrote. “You have a big life ahead of you and no matter what, you will be surrounded by a whole lot of love. Thank you for gracing your beautiful mother and me on our wedding anniversary, so excited to have you home.”
Equally as excited to meet Grace Warrior for the first time is Bindi’s brother Robert and first-time grandmother, Terri Irwin. “Let the uncle adventures begin! Love you so much, Grace,” Robert wrote on Instagram. “This little one picked the two best parents in the entire world. The most incredible, caring and strong Mum… and the funnest, coolest and kindest Dad. Love you three so much – I can’t wait for this exciting journey ahead!”
“Love is not a big enough word. My heart is so incredibly happy. And I know that Steve would be beyond proud,” Terri said of her husband. “Grace is the next generation to continue his mission and message of conservation. She chose her parents wisely. Bindi and Chandler are already the best parents ever!”
