Blake Lively has revealed she lived through a parenting milestone so many mothers will likely understand.
On February 20, Lively took to Instagram to share photos of her time in Las Vegas while attending and celebrating the Super Bowl with best friend Taylor Swift.
And while she shared details of the incredible outfit she choose for the special occasion, she also revealed it’s the first time since she became a mom of four that she spent the night away from her daughters.
“Last week I left my kids for the first time ever and wore pants that were shoes,” Lively wrote in the caption. “I took pictures upside down and had no clue.”
“I treated a friendship bracelet like a Flat Stanley for my husband like I didn’t realize it wasn’t ‘07,” she continued alluding to Ryan’s absence from the big game, and revealed she “borrowed more jewelry than the skeleton in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. And I went clubbing.”
“Now I know what my episode of the Twilight Zone would look like,” Lively quipped.
In the comments, people praised Lively for her Super Bowl look, while fellow moms praised her for doing something for herself.
“Every mom should have the opportunity to do that with their best friends,” one commenter wrote. “Normalize needing to be a woman / friend / person while ALSO being a mom,” another added.
While Lively and her group enjoyed the Super Bowl, Ryan Reynolds joked with his Instagram followers asking if anyone had seen his wife.
Alongside a photo of himself by their fireplace, Ryan wrote, “Has everyone seen the #Deadpool trailer? Also has anyone seen my wife?”
To which Blake responded a day later, with a photo in the exact same spot of their home, writing, “Honey, I’m home. My day was good. Yours?” These two crack us up!
