Just hours after it was revealed that Bob Saget died at just 65 years old, his autopsy is now complete. And the initial results of that autopsy has revealed what did not cause his death.
Due to the unsuspecting and surprising nature of his untimely death, many people question what caused Saget to pass away just hours after performing a comedy show in Florida. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Saget was discovered in his Ritz-Carlton hotel room while he was on tour.
Bob Saget Autopsy Complete: We Know What Did Not Cause His Death
In a statement provided by Joshua Stephany, the chief medical examiner of Orange and Osceola Counties, “An autopsy was performed this morning on Robert Lane Saget. Mr. Saget is a 65-year-old male, who was found unresponsive in his hotel room.”
As Stephany continued, according to People, “at this time, there is no evidence of drug use or foul play.” This means the cause of his death will require more investigation.
“The cause and manner of death are pending further studies and investigation which may take up to 10-12 weeks to complete. Our condolences go out to Mr. Saget’s loved ones during this difficult time.”

People also reported that Saget’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, is in shock over the news of her husband’s passing. According to a source, “Kelly is in shock and processing everything, but appreciative and touched by the outpouring of love from friends, family, his peers, and fans.”
Saget and Rizzo were first introduced to each other in 2015. They got engaged in 2017 and married in October 2018.
Rizzo used Instagram to honor their three-year wedding anniversary this past October.
“Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family. And now we grieve as a family. Bob made us laugh until we cried. Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls, and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly. We ask in Bob’s honor, hug the people you love. No one gave better hugs than Bob,” the statement was signed, “John, Dave, Candace, Jodie, Lori, Andrea, Scott, Jeff, Ashley, and Mary-Kate.”
A devastating loss.
