Authorities Say Brian Laundrie’s Parents’ Story Is Full of ‘Oddness’ & Things That ‘Don’t Make Sense’

Brian Laundrie, the person of interest in Gabby Petito‘s death, has been missing since September. As authorities search for the fugitive, they have begun to realize that the information provided by Laundrie’s family is riddled with “oddness.”

North Port Police spokesperson Josh Taylor spoke to NewsNation and told the outlet that the things the family has said “don’t make sense”

In a New Interview, Police Question the Veracity of the Information Brian Laundrie’s Family Has Provided.

The spokesperson noted the inconsistencies saying, “What the family has told us is that he drove out to the park and walked out into the woods,” Taylor told NewsNation.

“I don’t necessarily know what to believe anymore,” Taylor elaborated. “I think it’s certainly possible that they’re expressing what they know, but we’ll see. This is an ongoing investigation that will continue to evolve.”

The interviewer pointed out and asked the spokesperson about the car that Brian Laundrie drove to the nature preserve. According to the family, Brian drove a Ford Mustang to the preserve and his parents drove the vehicle back to their home.

“We’ve said from the beginning there’s a lot of oddness here, a lot of things that just didn’t make sense,” Taylor admitted in the interview.

“I mean your son walks out there, now they’re saying on a Monday, you know, to report that on a Friday, and then be confused on what day that was,” Taylor continued. “I mean there are a lot of things that are odd there.”

As Mamas Uncut reported, the Laundries changed their story about when Brian left home. They amended their story and said that their son vanished a day earlier than they had previously told police.

Taylor also said in the interview that Chris Laundrie, Brian Laundrie’s father, has been assisting the FBI in their investigation. He pointed to this fact as proof that the Laundrie family is trying to help authorities.

The ongoing search for Laundrie in Florida’s Carlton Nature Reserve has turned up nothing, Taylor told NewsNation. However, the spokesperson did admit that “no investigation is perfect.” That said, Taylor did say that investigators are “working to figure out” how Brian Laundrie escaped undetected as he had been under surveillance when he mysteriously vanished.
