Britney Spears fans are calling on producer Timbaland to apologize after the remarks he made about Britney during a live interview.
On October 29, just weeks after Spears’ memoir was released, Timbaland participated in a life interview at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts when he was asked about the many bombshells Spears wrote about in her book. His response now has Britney fans calling for him to apologize.
As TMZ reports when asked about the jaw-dropping allegations Spears made about his longtime collaborator Justin Timberlake, Timbaland told the audience that he thinks Timberlake should have “put a muzzle on that girl,” referring to Britney.
Now fans are demanding Timbaland issue a public apology to Spears, with many people on social media saying Timbaland “is still bitter that Britney left him hanging in the studio in 2006 and chose to work with Danja instead. His misogynistic self wanted her to collab with Justin.”
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, after shocking the world with excerpts from her highly anticipated memoir, a source is speaking out on Justin Timberlake’s behalf.
The source claims that Timberlake’s focus is on his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two children, in the wake of the world learning that Spears had an abortion while pregnant with his baby.
“Justin has been focusing on his own family and trying not to concern himself with Britney’s memoir,” the source told Entertainment Tonight. “In recent years, Justin has tried to be supportive of Britney from a distance.”
“They dated so long ago, but he still has respect for her. Justin and Jessica just want everyone to grow and evolve instead of continuing to bring up the past,” the source continued.
In her memoir, Spears claims that she was pregnant with Justin Timberlake’s baby sometime between 1999 and 2002. If you recall, Spears and Timberlake dated during that time when they were both at the height of their respective music careers.
In the book Spears writes that after learning she was pregnant, Justin told her he “didn’t want to be a father.”
“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she wrote. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”
That’s when Spears and Timberlake decided she would get an abortion. They were both still teenagers at the time.
Now, fans are reading into her 2003 hit, Everytime. The music video hints at a tumultuous relationship and even highlights a woman giving birth as Spears watches on from the doorway.
Many are now believing the video and the song are symbolic of her relationship and pregnancy to Justin.
Spears grappled with the decision, adding that she was raised not to get an abortion. TMZ reports that it was a decision that haunted her for years.
Today, Spears is a mom of two, though her relationship with her two sons remains strained.
