Budget-Friendly Kid Halloween Costumes You Don’t Have to Make Yourself

For all the DIY parents out there, hats off! But for anyone who isn’t super crafty or lacks the time, a store bought Halloween costume can be the easiest way to ensure your little one gets to to be the pumpkin or train conductor or princess of their dreams.

Here are the cutest costumes for kids ages 0-5. They’re guaranteed to love one of these and you’ll love that you aren’t spending a ton of money on something they’ll likely grow out of by next year.

Train Conductor

First of all, this train conductor costume ($18.36 on Amazon) is adorable. Second of all, it’s the perfect choice for any kid who will do best in a costume that most closely mimics regular clothes. You could of course DIY this with a pair of overalls you already have and then just buy the hat and neckerchief.

Pineapple

Have you ever seen a cuter pineapple ($21.99 on Amazon)? We didn’t think so. If your little one will tolerate having something over their head, this is a great costume for a chilly Halloween night.

PJ Masks Gekko

For anyone whose kid is obsessed with PJ Masks ($20.40, Amazon), this easy-to-wear costume seems like a no-brainer. The headpiece is separate from the suit, so your child can still be their favorite superhero even if they’re not into having something on their head.

Unicorn

We hear unicorns are all the rage these days. Embrace the trend in this very fun, very sparkly tutu ensemble ($13.98 on Amazon) guaranteed to make the unicorn lover in your life extremely excited to trick or treat. Bonus: this costume easily double as a fun option for regular dress-up games.

Firefighter

For baby’s first Halloween, look no further than this supremely adorable firefighter costume ($19.77 on Amazon). Soft and easy to put on, this is easily a winner for your little one’s first dress-up experience.

Disney Princess

If your child can’t get enough of the princess life, a dress, like this one from Beauty & The Beast ($22.99 on Amazon), is a no brainer. It comes with all the accessories, including gloves and a tiara, so your little one is appropriately attired for every occasion.

Baby Shark

Because we might as well give the earworm kids song of 2018 a proper tribute. Bonus: you can get a baby shark costume in every size from newborn to adult, so it makes the perfect family costume. This one ($22.48 on Amazon) comes in two sizes (infant and toddler) and is easy to get on and off for mid-trick or treat diaper changes.
