Cameron Diaz Loves Being in a ‘Little Bubble’ with 7-Month-Old Daughter Raddix

Cameron Diaz loves life as a new mom and she’s telling everyone who will listen all about it! The actress recently joined Late Night With Seth Meyers to discuss social distancing with her husband Benji Madden and their 7-month-old baby girl Raddix.

This isn’t the first time the star has gushed about being a mom. She has told just about every late-night host on TV about it and compares her time with Raddix to “heaven.” We’re absolutely here for this new mom basking in the joy of parental bliss.

Diaz described her time in quarantine to Seth Meyers.

“Before my baby was an excuse to stay home,” she described, “now I don’t have to make that excuse. It’s just what it is, and I get to be with her.”

The Bad Teacher actor said the “best part” of the family staying within their “little bubble” has been having her husband, who often tours with his band Good Charlotte, work from home.

Diaz describes the new family dynamic and how Madden is able to spend much more time with their daughter.

“So, he gets to be with her as much as I do,” she praised. “Well, not as much because he’s working all day long. But he actually gets to come out of a meeting and give her a kiss and play with her for a little bit, where if he was going to the office every day, he wouldn’t have been able to do that. So, we’re just having a lot of gratitude for that.”

It’s been seven months since Diaz and Madden announced the birth of their daughter. However, the proud parents made it crystal clear they “feel a strong instinct” to protect their baby girl’s privacy.

“So we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really, really cute!!” they wrote on Instagram after her birth. “Some would even say RAD.”

Although the couple has managed to keep their daughter from the spotlight, Diaz still has plenty to say about her. It isn’t the Charlie Angels star’s first appearance on TV since the birth of Raddix. She recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show where she told Jimmy Fallon, “Heaven. It’s been heaven, Jimmy.”

“It’s just amazing,” she explained to Fallon. “It’s the best thing that ever happened to both Benj and I. We’re just so happy.”

In addition to being overjoyed and really living her best life in quarantine, Diaz described the family’s routine to Katherine Power CEO of Who What Wear.

“After we do bath time with our baby and we put her to sleep, Benji puts her to bed, he’s so good. He’s such an amazing father. I’m so lucky he’s my baby’s daddy. He’s so incredible. He puts her down and I go into the kitchen and I start dinner and I pour myself a nice glass of red wine. I start my cooking, I put on my show, whatever it is,” she revealed.

At the end of her interview with Power, Diaz explained the importance of staying in the moment in these troubled times.

“The way I’m making it through this time is by staying in the present,” she said. “I stay in the here and now.”

Perhaps that’s how she’s able to love her “little bubble” so much. We’re thrilled to hear from this new mom and that she’s coping well with her family. Staying happy while practicing social distancing is a challenge many parents are navigating right now. We’ll take Diaz’s advice and “stay in the here and now” as much as possible.
