After hopping on an Instagram Live on September 18, rapper Cardi B opened up about her impending divorce to fellow rapper Offset. As Mamas Uncut reported, Cardi B filed for divorce in September after three years of marriage.
Cardi B and Offset share one child together, 2-year-old Kulture. It was initially reported that the mom decided to file for divorce due to Offset’s history of being unfaithful to her.
Cardi B Shares Reason Why She’s Divorcing Husband of 3 Years Offset
Now, Cardi B is setting the record straight and revealed that the reason for her divorce is not because of his infidelity. “I want to say thank you so much. However, like, I don’t really need it,” the rapper told her followers, according to People. “I’m okay. I want to let you know I have not shed not one tear.”
As Cardi continued, she opened up by admitting their marriage fell on hard times, and while this isn’t the first time she and Offset had their difference, this is the first time she didn’t cry over it. “Wanna know why? The reason my divorce is not because of none of that s**t that ever happened before. It’s not because the cheating…”
“I’m seeing people be like, ‘Oh, he has a baby on the way.’ That’s a whole f**king complete lie. That’s the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that’s bulls**t.”
The real reason is because she “just got tired of f**king arguing. I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye,” Cardi told her followers. “When you feel like it’s not the same anymore before you actually get cheated on, I rather just be… Nothing crazy out of this world happened. Sometimes people really do f**king grow apart. I’ve been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man.”

According to a source who talked with E! News, Cardi and Offset’s inner circle was also shocked by the news of their divorce. “They have been living together, parenting Kulture and seemed to be doing fine from an outsider’s perspective,” the source revealed.
Nonetheless, despite her marriage ending, Cardi assured her fans that she’s “great. I’m okay. I’m not down. I’m not devastated. I’m not hurt.” But she did thank everyone who has “been showing me love.”
