Today Show correspondent Carson Daly and his wife, Siri, welcomed their fourth child into the world. On March 28, the Dalys became a family of six when Goldie Patricia Daly was born.
The proud father excitedly announced his baby girl’s arrival on Instagram. Along with a picture of him and Siri in masks with Goldie in their arms, Carson wrote, “Daly Planet Exclusive!”

“Carson and Siri Daly (Hi! That’s us!) along with proud siblings Jackson James (11), Etta Jones (7), and London Rose (5) are beyond thrilled to announce the arrival of Goldie Patricia Daly! She was born at 4:08 p.m. (ET) coming in at 8.2lbs and 20 inches long.”
The dad of four continued, revealing that Goldie already has a nickname as he affectionately referred to her as “Go Go,” writing that “Go Go and mom are doing great.” Carson concluded:
“The Daly family wants to send a special shout out to the incredibly brave and selfless medical staff at our hospital in New York and also [to] the many courageous people on the front lines of this dreadful virus. We thank God not only for the safe birth of our daughter but for their tireless work attending to so many in need. It is a bittersweet event for us as we are extremely grateful, but also mindful of this unparalleled time in our history. We appreciate your well wishes and ask that you join us in praying for the many suffering around the world. God Bless you all.”
Carson Daly Says He Wasn’t Allowed With His Wife Until His Daughter Was Ready to Be Born
While talking with Al Roker on Today, Carson revealed that he wasn’t able to stay with his wife in the hospital, but could only be there for Go Go’s birth before being sent home again. He explained that he dropped Siri off at the hospital the night before and was told when to return so that he didn’t miss his daughter’s birth.
“I wake up today just really, profoundly moved by two things on my mind,” he said. “Number one is the strength of my wife. I mean, watching her over the last 48 hours—not to mention during this pregnancy—but being nine months pregnant at this time, you can imagine the extra anxiety that it brought.”

“Her heroism … she’s a superstar. She’s a superhero. I wake up enamored by her and also the medical staff that we dealt with last night. The work that they’re doing on the front lines—you don’t actually believe it until you’re there and you can see it.”
Additionally, Carson revealed that Goldie Patricia is named after his late mother, Patti Daly Caruso, who passed away in 2017. Go Go was born just one day before her grandmother’s birthday. He also mentioned that Goldie is in honor of his Irish heritage.
