Chrishell Stause appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show Thursday and revealed that she is making moves for a fresh start.
Chrishell Stause Is Making Vodka-Infused Lemonade From the Lemons That Life Has Dealt Her.
“Was that therapeutic? ‘Cause I love that. That’s funny,” Clarkson asked of Chrishell Stause after she shared that she sold the ring.
“When sometimes life gives you lemons, sometimes you’ve gotta add a little vodka,” the reality TV personality replied.
“I was trying to, you know, make the best out of a situation,” Stause explained to Clarkson who recently settled her own divorce.
“I mean, what are you supposed to do? Keep wearing it? I think that’s amazing,” the “Stronger” singer told Stause. “You did something good with the money.”
Stause and Hartley were married from 2017 to 2021 and the divorce coincided with season three of Stause’s Netflix series but the This Is Us actor never appeared on the show.
Following the couple’s split, Hartley began dating Sofia Pernas and the couple tied the knot last spring.
“I feel like anybody would be heartbroken to see how quickly or easily you are replaced; of course, that’s going to sting,” Stause told People after Hartley and Pernas wed.
The real estate agent rebounded with her on-screen boss, Jason Oppenheim. The couple dated for a few months but reportedly split because they could not agree on having kids.
“You can’t talk out this problem. It’s just something that, it is what it is,” she told the outlet in February. “I will say it’s a relationship I’m really extremely proud of. I think that we entered and left it with so much respect and love for each other.”
During her interview with Clarkson, Stause shared that she listened to the singer’s music to help her resolve emotions after various breakups.
“Your music has gotten me through many a breakup, so thank you for that,” Stause explained to Clarkson who asked about the real estate agent’s memoir, Under Construction.
“You helped all of us,” Stause said to Clarkson, receiving cheers from the in-studio audience.
Stause went on to talk about her experience writing the memoir saying that it was “a cathartic situation because so much is said out there and there’s not a lot of context.”
“And coming from a place of, you know, a healing place, like, I am past those things, I am healed, there’s no anger there,” Stause shared. “So it’s nice to, you know, kind of give context and tell a story that I know a lot of people have related to.”
We’re thrilled that Chrishell is making lemonade from lemons and taking control of her destiny following the breakup with Hartley. Wouldn’t you do the same?
