Shaunyl Benson has just given birth to a baby girl.
“God gave us warrior children,” she shared. “llusia Angelina is doing very well today. Her strength is mighty. I am so grateful and thankful to God almighty that she is here and she is alive. Thank you all for your love prayers and support.”
In another update to Instgram, Shaunyl revealed her little girl had come a bit earlier than expected.
“Illusia Angelina surprised us early at 35 weeks. Born at 4:34am on November 5th via emergency c section. A tiny little 4lbs 13 ounces of pure strength and light. She is currently in the NICU and we are asking for all your prayers. She’s got a long road ahead of her but we have faith in God and we are feeling so positive and know she’s in great hands. Mommy is recovering well in hospital ???????? thank you for all of your ongoing support. Love S”
Baby No. 3 was “unexpected” for the couple. In July, Benson revealed to her Instagram followers a clip of herself telling her husband, Criss Angel, 53, the baby news.

“I found out that I’m pregnant. Again,” the singer said in the footage about the baby. “I’ve taken three pregnancy tests and every single one is positive. It’s probably really early. Probably only, like, five weeks. … I’m pretty nervous to tell Christopher because another kid was not in the cards. … I’m so nervous I could, like, vomit.”
To which Criss thought she was joking. “You’re not pregnant. Seriously?”
Benson revealed their pregnancy news one month prior. “Plus one equals five,” the New York native captioned his June social media upload. “May every day be as special as today.”

The two are also parents of sons Johnny, 7, and Xristos, 2, who arrived in 2014 and 2019, respectively. When Benson told Johnny that he had another younger sibling on the way, he gasped and hugged her. “Oh, my God,” he whispered. “A sister, is it a sister? Let me feel.”
When asked about how the family was spending their time during the pandemic, they revealed they were soaking it up enjoying one another.
“We’ve been really spending a lot of time [together as a] family,” Angel told Extra in September 2020 of “hunkering down at home” during the COVID-19 spread. “We’re trying to make the most of the situation and trying to provide incredible memories for Johnny Crisstopher and our other son, Xristos Yanni, so when they get older, they can think about these times that were challenging, but we made something positive come from it: memories.”
