Charges against Zayn Malik have been revealed after court documents reveal the details of his physical altercation with Yolanda Hadid. As Mamas Uncut reported, the singer has openly adamantly denied hitting his child’s grandmother.
Nonetheless, despite denying any wrongdoing, Zayn had pleaded no contest to the harassment charges against him. In a lengthy Twitter statement, Zayn explained why he pleaded no contest.

“As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stages for all to poke and pike apart. In an effort to protect that space for her I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago.”
Zayn Malik and model Gigi Hadid shared one child together, a 13-year-old daughter named Khai. Gigi is Yolanda Hadid’s oldest daughter.
The couple has had an on-and-off-again relationship since 2015. And as a result of this incident, sources have said Zayn and Gigi are no longer romantically involved.
According to Fox News, the argument occurred at Zayn and Gigi’s Pennsylvania home in September. In his statement, Gigi was allegedly not present for the disagreement between Zayn and Yolanda.
As court documents obtained by Fox News revealed, during the incident, Zayn allegedly “grabbed [Yolanda] and shoved her into a dresser, causing mental anguish and physical pain.” It was further revealed that Zayn also told Yolanda to “stay away from [my] f—ing daughter.”
It was further stated in the court document that Zayn allegedly started yelling at one of the security guards present telling the guard to “get the f—k out of my f—ing house copper,” while also calling Yolanda a “f—ing Dutch slut.”
Although Gigi was away for work, it appears as though she was on the phone for a portion of the argument. According to Fox News, Zayn also yelled at Gigi telling her to “strap on some f—ing balls and defend your partner against your f—ing mother in my house.”
Since pleading no contest, Zayn has been put on a 90 day probation period for each count, totaling 360 days. In addition to the probation period, he was also “ordered to complete an anger management class, as well as a domestic violence program. He must have zero contact with Yolanda or the security guard.”
He was also fined an unspecified amount. As Fox News reported, should Zayn remains in good standing for six months, the judge could terminate the probation.
In her only statement regarding the incident, Gigi said she “is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time.”
