Every Sunday night audiences are treated to an hour-long horror movie that’s masquerading as a teen drama. Euphoria is a thrilling show with compelling characters that you just want to survive high school. One of the highlights of the series is the Euphoria makeup looks. The makeup designer for the show, Doniella Davy, has crafted some of the most memorable makeup looks in recent memory. Actors Hunter Schafer (Jules), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Alexa Demie (Maddy), and Barbara Ferreira (Kat) have all sported some bold and inspiring makeup for the show.
The thing about Euphoria makeup looks that makes them so interesting is that they break all the rules. Whimsy is fully embraced giving each look a youthful, playful, and energetic appeal. Throughout the run of the series, we’ve seen unconventional colors, shapes, and applications employed to great effect. Let’s take a look back on some of the most stunning looks and find the perfect option for you to try.
Try Something New with These Euphoria Makeup Looks.
One of Maddy’s Fiercest Looks
Here’s one of the best Euphoria makeup looks from season one. Maddy (Demie) slays every single time she’s on-screen but this red liner with a purple shadow is one of the finest. You can easily replicate this along with plenty of plumping mascara and curled lashes.
Horns
Euphoria‘s narrative is centered around Rue (Zendaya) but more often than not the series feels like a love letter to Jules (Schafer). She rocks some of the most unique and enviable Euphoria makeup looks. These little white flicks from the current season are described as “interrogation horns” by the makeup artists who applied them. It’s such a youthful and fun look.
Kat in Vivid Color
“Many of [Kat’s] looks involve a super clean lower lash line and bright colors,” Euphoria’s makeup designer writes. “I interpreted this as Kat still being kind of new to wearing makeup, and still very much using it to help figure out who she wants to be.” This is serving citrus vibes and makes us long for summer.
Carnival
For Cassie (Sweeney), this sort of Carnival-themed gem-lined lid is her go-to. If you’re after a look that truly sparkles, try something similar on that upper lid.
Mirroring
Davy, the makeup designer, points out that Maddy and Cassie’s makeup looks often mirror each other in each episode. In contrast to Cassie’s white wings, we find Maddy with the sharpest of sharp black ones. How cool is this designer for putting so much thought and care into these Euphoria makeup looks?
Juliette
If Jules was giving you major Claire Danes as Juliette from Romeo & Juliette vibes, it was intentional. This gold-leaf brow and lid look was inspired by the iconic film. Beneath the gold, you’ll find a pastel, coral with a slight shimmer as well. The three energies the artist was trying to capture were “ethereal + romantic + gothic.” Nailed it!
Armor
Jules rocks some seriously fantastic (as in from fantasy) looks throughout the series but one of the most intense looks was inspired by armor and weapons. The artist wanted this look, from season one, to look as if it could “actually injure Nate.” These “lashes” were created from a cut and stick decal.
Spicy Red Pepper
Here’s yet another one of the Euphoria makeup looks from season one. We find Kat turning up the heat with a red liner that comes to a sharp point and is shadowed by black on the upper lid. This dramatic look would definitely turn some heads.
The Clouds That Broke the Internet
Davy shared in a post that she had seen this cloud look, which was originally done with white liner, is one of the most recreated looks she’s ever done. In the above picture, you can see that the white liner has been upgraded to iridescent, metallic decals. It’s easy to see why this look really took off.
More Iridescent, More Jules
A very bold and powerful-looking red eye that is framed by iridescent decals looks truly neon. Decals seem to be the direction to go for your Euphoria makeup looks. They really do bring so much to the party.

Maddy Goes Goth
“This was a different look for Maddy, who at this point has not emerged from her darkness, but has just in fact admitted to it — her addiction to Nate despite his abuse,” Davy writes of this look from episode 8 of season one. “The tiny rhinestones that float in the dark shadow show the perfect amount of hope glimmering through.”
Green Marble
There are a few awesome looks here (the “X” one was created by Schafer). We’re pointing out the “Green and chartreuse marbled flame eye,” which the artist said was a blast to paint. Perhaps you’ll have fun with it too.
Nate’s Fantasy
This Euphoria makeup look comes from episode two of season two and finds Cassie as the subject of Nate’s fantasy. It consists of “A baby wing that melts into her inner lash line, topped with scattered tiny glitter bits for that cinematic twinkle that we live for,” the artist writes.
Plum Wing
Davy explained that she was inspired by a structure that was popularized in the 1960s for Maddy’s eyes in this Euphoria makeup look from season two. “Delicate hot pink crease accent and chunky plum wing over a nude eye,” Davy describes. “I love the softness.”
Abstract Painting
You might recognize Jules’ eyes from that impromptu bowling game in season two. Davy said she was inspired by abstract paintings and describes a very collaborative approach with Schafer when it comes to the Euphoria makeup looks she wears for the show.
Understated
We find Jules in a lot of “loud” makeup looks but these three dots make a big statement as well. Davy described the look as the “epitome of understated.” This look occurred in season two when Jules’ father asks if Rue is a good influence. The crickets that followed the question spoke louder than words.
NYE Party
When one thinks of Euphoria makeup looks, glitter generally comes to mind because it gets a lot of play. This look for Lexi (Maude Apatow) is such a soft and sweet one that the character wore to that rowdy NYE party. Coral seems to be one of Davy’s go-to tones and we’re here for it.
More NYE Looks
Here’s the look that Davy chose for Jules to wear on NYE. The lid is lightly glittered but the most visually interesting aspect is the shapes found at the inner corner. The shapes seem to draw or “invite” your own eyes into Jules’. It’s a tougher look than we saw most of season one. We’re seeing Jules’ character grow through makeup!
Razor Sharp
Maddy sports the sharpest wings and proves one of the most iconic Euphoria makeup looks again and again. This look was actually Demie’s creation as she collaborated with the designer to tell her own character’s story through makeup. These sharp wings cut through all the noise and really won NYE.

Glitter Tears
In season one, we found a lot of glitter tears from Rue and the finale of the first season saw a culmination of all of the previous looks rolled into these eyes with chunky glitter and a star decal. The only time we really see Rue in obvious makeup on the show is when Jules does it for her. In this case, it looks as if Jules wanted a more feminine-looking Rue as her date to the winter formal.
Did these Euphoria makeup looks inspire you? We sure hope you found some new ideas for your makeup and will try something fresh and new. After all, the kids are doing it so you might as well get in on the fun too. Happy painting!
