Never one to shy away from controversy, reality star Farrah Abraham is now claiming that online trolls have forced her 11-year-old daughter, Sophia, into therapy, TMZ reports.
After being accused of animal abuse, the former Teen Mom star defended her decision to dye her pups fur blue and pink. She noted in her defense that Cupcake and Boo are “happy and healthy.” The mom took the opportunity to say that while her dogs are fine, her daughter has suffered due to online “hate speech.”
The mom-of-one is blaming online trolls for damaging her daughter’s mental health, forcing her to seek out professional help. “There’s a lot of hateful things and that really affects kids and Sophia has to go for that. And no more bullying, it’s really been bad.”

However, this hasn’t stopped Farrah from featuring Sophia on her Instagram profile. The 11-year-old even has her own Instagram account that boasts roughly 621,000 followers.
The former adult film star has also come under fire for making light of the pandemic in her latest social media videos. Since she already homeschools her daughter, Farrah has taken this opportunity to share tips on everything from time management to scheduling.
“Everything can be done online and I’m so excited about that because I’m such a homebody and I kinda love Coronavirus season,” shared Farrah. The mom even went as far as to labeled her YouTube video series, “Mom’s Love Coronavirus Season.”
Instagram followers were understandably baffled that the mom would make light of a global pandemic, with many telling her she needs a “reality check.” While seeking out help in the realm of mental health is commendable, it’s unclear if Farrah has any plans to distance her daughter from social media.
