In a disturbing story, a father in Buffalo, NY is charged with killing his family’s cat and then sending images of the dead animal to his children.
The local police allege that Antonio Martin, 40, killed the cat over the weekend by hanging it by its neck on one of his child’s bed. Further, they say Martin then took pictures of the dead cat and sent them to his three kids.

Buffalo Father Accused of Killing Family Cat, Texting Photos of the Dead Animal to His Children
When questioned by the police, Martin admitted to killing the cat. He was arrested on Sunday and charged with one count of aggravated animal cruelty and two counts of child endangerment.
After being arraigned, Martin was released on his own recognizance. If he is tried and convicted, he could go to jail for up to two years.
People reached out to Martin for comment, but he did not respond.

Unfortunately, stories like this are not as uncommon as you would think, given their horror. In 2017, for example, a man from Phoenix, AZ was accused of killing a dog with a sledgehammer. A child was present during the horrifying event. Fortunately, the suspect was later caught and arrested.
