Michael reflected on the unexpected act of kindness in an interview with CBS, sharing that he has been bullied since starting at Martin Luther King Jr. College Preparatory High School in Memphis, Tennessee.

“I really don’t have clothes at home,” shared Michael. “My mom can’t buy clothes for me because I’m growing too fast.”

“When I saw people laugh at him and bully him, I felt like I needed to do something,” explained Kristopher. He then texted his friend to help out.

“I got some shoes, some brand new shoes, I can give him and I got a couple items I can give him too,” said Antwann.

“I want to apologize to you for laughing at you and I want to give you something to make it up,” Kristopher told Michael.

“You guys are the best guys of my entire life,” Michael replied.
