Grayson Roberts is a 9-year-old drummer who was on a mission to ‘see the world’ before he fully loses vision in both of his eyes. In an effort to achieve his goals, he decided to build a lemonade stand outside of his house. Unfortunately, Grayson was having a hard time raising money due to a lack of customers.
That is until Charlie Rocket – a Grammy Award-winning artist – drove by his house and saw his sign. Sharing the little boy’s story with his more than one million TikTok followers, Charlie helped make this boy’s dream a reality. Within just a few days, Grayson Roberts’ entire life had changed dramatically.
“Hi my name is Grayson and I am 9 years old and I was born blind but I do not let that stop me from doing everything you can do. I love music and I love to travel. I am raising money to ‘see’ the world while I still have a little vision in one eye. Will you help me reach my dream to see the world,” Grayson’s sign read.

Seeing an opportunity to help, Charlie Rocket decided to help and put together a fundraiser event for Grayson Roberts on Friday (August 18) at 5:30 p.m. at 5856 Adams Blvd. in Culver City. He posted about the event on TikTok and received more than 20 million views as Grayson’s story immediately went viral.
With the help of Charlie Rocket, Grayson turned his lemonade stand into a business. He decided to call it ‘Limitless Lemonade’ and created his very own logo – creatively turning a lemon into a helicopter with the word ‘Limitless’ in block letters underneath. He even came up with his own secret recipe to spice it up.
The fundraiser was a major success already, but things got even crazier when Travis Barker – one of the most famous drummers of all-time – showed up to support Grayson. Not only did Barker make a sizeable donation to his cause, but he gifted him some drumsticks and they even enjoyed a jam sesh together.
It was an incredible gesture that shows just how good of a dude Travis Barker is – especially considering he wasn’t asked to be there. He found out about Grayson’s story through social media and took the time to stop by, despite having a prior work engagement – which he put on the back burner to be there.
Grayson Roberts’ Life Story Will Inspire the World
Grayson Roberts was born with Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome – an eye disorder that affects roughly 1 in 200,000 people in the United States. The disease left him with Glaucoma (eye pressure) and Aniridia (no iris). As a result, he has had 32 surgeries and 5 cornea transplants to help save some of my vision.
“Everyday with even a fraction of sight is an opportunity for me to connect with my surroundings. I don’t let my limited vision stop me. I’m funny, happy, love to sing and make music, travel, learning and I believe I can do anything,” he shared in an Instagram post in 2019 as he explained his disorder and life story.
He concluded that Instagram post with a touching message that brings this story full circle. “I was served lemons ???? but I choose to make lemonade everyday because everyday has sweet sunshine,” he wrote. Four years later and here we are – his lemonade stand inspired millions and he’s now a viral sensation.
